If I lose the bets, does that still count toward unlocking the bonus?
What counts is the stake, not the result, so a losing qualifying bet on several matches at once moves you toward the target exactly as a winning one does. The practical limit is different: those bets have to be funded, and once the bonus balance is spent there is nothing left to turn over.
