How a Dota ticket is built
Groups throw Bo2s. Playoffs are Bo3. The grand final is Bo5. A game ends when the Ancient dies. Most games run 25–50 minutes. The two things that move the price before a creep spawns: the patch (this event is on 7.41e) and the pick/ban.
Games are long and swingy, so live is deep. Odds open in the draft and jump on every fight. Comeback gold and buyback mean a 20-minute lead is not a closed game. Do not cash out a welcome slip because game 1 looked over.

Worked example — kills Over 52.5 after an early draft
Two fight-heavy sides. Line 52.5. Over ~1.90.
Both drafts show roaming supports and gank cores. Game runs 38 minutes, 31–27, 58 kills. Over lands. The read was never who wins. It was tempo. A double-carry mirror on a slow patch would have been the Under. A $10 Over at 1.90 returns $19.
Five Dota reads that are not “bet last TI’s winner”
- Bet this patch. 7.41e is not last year’s meta. Weight results on the current patch, not a spring LAN.
- A 20-minute lead is not over. Comeback gold and buyback exist. Do not max-stake a live favourite because the net worth graph looks pretty.
- Qualifier records lie. A team that smashed a weak region often dies at a 16-team LAN. Discount the win rate.
- Stand-ins crater Dota more than football. Synergy is the sport. Check Liquipedia the morning of the series.
- First blood is not a series tell. Fast extra. Near coin-flip. Keep it small.
TI 2026, then the rest of the year
The International 2026 (TI15): Shanghai, 13–23 August — over. 16 teams. Groups 13–16 August; main event 20–23 August. Main event 20–23 August, Oriental Sports Center, double-elimination. Prize pool is crowd-funded; Liquipedia listed about US$3.15M during the event. This is the deepest Dota card of the year. Confirm match times in-app. They move.
- Done: TI main event, 20–23 August — the easiest 3-leg Dota week of 2026 has passed.
- After TI: ESL One, BLAST Slam, DreamLeague, PGL, EWC.
- Regional leagues / qualifiers: high volume, wider margin.
Welcome slip on a Tier-1 day
On the international offer VIP4YOU wants bets adding up to 5 times the bonus, on 3 or more matches at 1.40 or higher, inside 30 days. Not every market uses it — the block below lists which. A Tier-1 playoff day (TI, BLAST, Worlds) lists enough series.
10 markets do not use this rule
The 5× target above is the international offer. Where we have read the operator's own country terms, 10 markets publish something different — and in those markets the tickets described above move nothing:
- India — three winning single bets at 2.00 or higher, each staked at the full bonus and placed one after another. One loss ends the offer. Handicaps and totals are excluded.
- Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal and Zambia — the bonus arrives in two halves. One clears on accumulators; the other only counts inside the 1xGames section, at 30 or 35 times. That section is 1xBet's own quick-games area — the terms name titles like PF Dice, Pachinko and PF Roulette in it, some of which are excluded from the count. It is not the third-party crash games most people mean by that phrase: Aviator, JetX and Spaceman sit in the casino and move neither half.
- Tanzania — eight times the bonus, not five, and the qualifying legs start at odds of 2.10 rather than 1.40.
- Jordan and Thailand — we could read the offer but not the multiplier: those terms pages render their own numbers blank until you have an account. Rather than repeat the five-times figure from elsewhere, we say nothing and point you at your own bonus balance.
Ghana, Nigeria and Zambia also step the percentage with the size of the deposit, and their multipliers step with it. Every country page carries its own figures; the country list is the index, and it now says which rows we read off the operator and which still come from partner listings.
One more line from the terms: on Armenia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda, handicap and total bets do not count toward the wagering at all — the rules strike them out together with refunded bets. Build those tickets from match winners, double chance or both-teams-to-score there.
- Three series winners at 1.40 or higher. Skip the 1.20 favourite. Mix a map winner if the series is too short.
- Do not unlock on first blood or a four-leg kill-extra slip. That is one game, not three matches.
- Mix one Dota leg with a CS2 BLAST series if you do not want three legs on one patch.

How does the total kills market work in Dota 2?
Combined kills of both teams in one game. Line typically 48.5–62.5. Early-game, fight-heavy drafts push Over. Double-carry farm drafts lean Under. A long game almost always clears the Over because kills pile up in late fights.
Why is first blood a popular Dota 2 bet?
It settles in the opening minutes and prices near a coin-flip (~1.85). Aggressive supports win it more often. It has little to do with who wins the game. Keep it small. It is a poor welcome leg.
Does the draft affect Dota 2 odds?
More than almost any other esport. The patch decides which heroes are strong. The pick/ban can hand one side an early-game or late-game shape before a creep spawns. Live totals and duration lines are often slow to move during the draft.
Are Dota 2 bets eligible for the welcome bonus?
